Prof. Kai Chen received Distinguished Collaborator Award of Noah's Ark Lab

Noah’s Ark Lab is pleased to present the first Distinguished Collaborator Award to Prof. Kai Chen at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Congratulations to Prof. Chen!

This award is in recognition of Prof. Kai Chen's outstanding contribution to Huawei as the Principal Investigator in the joint Huawei-HKUST research projects from 2013 to 2016. In the projects, Prof. Chen and his team, together with researchers in Huawei, have developed cutting edge technologies for machine learning based SDN (Software Defined Networks). A prototype system has been developed and a number of high value patents have been created in the projects. The contributions have also been recognized in the research community, for example, a paper about related technologies has been presented at SIGCOMM 2016, a premier conference in the area of computer networking.
