Yangqiu Song received his B.Eng. degree in July, 2003 and his Ph.D. degree in January, 2009, from the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University, China. He is currently a post-doctoral researcher at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Before that, he was an associate researcher at Microsoft Research Asia and staff researcher at IBM Research - China. His research interests include machine learning algorithms with applications to text mining, knowledge engineering, social media analysis and information visual analytics.
